- Conduct thorough inspections of surgical instruments to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Perform visual examinations and measurements to identify any defects, damage, or inconsistencies in the instruments.
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment to conduct functional tests on surgical instruments to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Verify the accuracy and precision of instrument markings, labels, and engravings.
- Inspect instrument surfaces for cleanliness, sterilization, and proper handling.
- Collaborate with production teams and suppliers to address and resolve quality issues or non-conformities.
- Document and report any quality concerns or deviations from standards to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow established quality control processes and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, such as ISO 13485.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control guidelines, procedures, and work instructions specific to surgical instruments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities.
- Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with quality management systems.
