We seek a skilled and experienced Shopify Developer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a Shopify Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our e-commerce platform on Shopify. Your primary focus will be creating exceptional online shopping experiences, optimizing performance, implementing custom features and functionalities, and ensuring seamless functionality and user experience.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design and marketing teams to create visually appealing and user-friendly online stores on the Shopify platform.
- Customize and configure Shopify themes and templates to meet specific client requirements and project needs.
- Develop custom Shopify apps and integrations using Shopify’s APIs and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
- Integrate third-party apps and plugins into the Shopify platform to enhance its functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Shopify functionality, third-party integrations, and data management.
- Optimize website performance, including page load speed, responsiveness, and overall site speed.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Shopify updates, trends, and best practices, suggesting improvements to enhance the online shopping experience.
- Collaborate with the team to plan and execute A/B testing and conversion rate optimization strategies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and stakeholders.
Candidate should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a Shopify Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing past Shopify projects.
- Proficiency in web development languages and technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, and Liquid templates.
- Extensive knowledge of the Shopify platform, including theme development, app development, and API integrations.
- Experience with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and website optimization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of other e-commerce platforms and frameworks (e.g., Magento, WooCommerce) is a plus.
