"Shirkat Gah" literally means "a place of participation". Shirkat Gah is committed to advocating and promoting women’s rights and empowerment. We believe in a just, pluralist and democratic society where women are fully empowered and where gender equality is ensured.

Mission:

Shirkat Gah’s work will be done when:

· Women will be able to make informed decisions as well as to create alternative life-choices for themselves;

· The women’s agency and civil society become stronger and more effective in holding governments accountable to ensure equal rights and dignity of all people as well as the sustainable and equitable use of resources;

· When a culture is established where in peace and democracy prevails, and the use of culture and religion by state and non-state actors to deny women’s rights is eliminated.
