We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Purchasing Officer at our furniture manufacturing factory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating prices, and managing supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to obtain the best possible deals.
  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and components to support production schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels and track procurement activities to prevent stock outs and minimize excess inventory.
  • Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to forecast demand and plan procurement accordingly.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Resolve supplier issues, discrepancies, and quality concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchasing transactions, contracts, and supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline procurement processes and improve efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements affecting procurement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field; additional certifications in procurement or supply chain are a plus.
  • Proven experience as a purchasing officer, buyer, or procurement specialist, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on cost optimization and risk management.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with procurement software and MS Office.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
