We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Purchasing Officer at our furniture manufacturing factory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating prices, and managing supplier relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

Responsibilities:

Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to obtain the best possible deals.
Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and components to support production schedules.
Monitor inventory levels and track procurement activities to prevent stock outs and minimize excess inventory.
Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to forecast demand and plan procurement accordingly.
Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, and cost-saving opportunities.
Resolve supplier issues, discrepancies, and quality concerns in a timely and effective manner.
Maintain accurate records of purchasing transactions, contracts, and supplier performance.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline procurement processes and improve efficiency.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements affecting procurement.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field; additional certifications in procurement or supply chain are a plus.
Proven experience as a purchasing officer, buyer, or procurement specialist, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on cost optimization and risk management.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with procurement software and MS Office.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
