Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and maintain custom WordPress plugins to meet client-specific requirements
Extend and customize existing plugins, ensuring compatibility with various themes and plugins
Optimize plugin performance for SEO and efficient load times
Integrate e-commerce and third-party services through plugins
Collaborate with team members and clients to understand needs and deliver high-quality, functional plugins
Troubleshoot plugin-related issues, bugs, and conflicts on existing WordPress sites
Implement best practices for plugin security, performance, and WordPress coding standards
Stay updated on WordPress core updates and plugin development trends
Bonus: Customize WordPress themes when needed to enhance site functionality

Requirements:

3+ years of professional experience developing WordPress plugins
In-depth knowledge of PHP, WordPress API, and best practices for plugin development
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; knowledge of WordPress theme development is a plus
Experience with API integration and web performance optimization
Familiarity with SEO and e-commerce functionality preferred
Portfolio showcasing successful WordPress plugin projects
Ability to work independently and efficiently
