Management and delivering of capacity building and related activities of Aawaz II. She/he will work closely with Programme Management Unit (PMU) and Downstream Partners (DSP).

Main Responsibilities:

Capacity Building

  • Manage and supervise timely and effective delivery of the capacity building component of the Aawaz II programme as per Aawaz II Resource Partner’s Scope of Work (SoW), workplan and guidance from the Gender and Inclusion Advisor.
  • Develop a capacity building plan in coordination with PMU.
  • Develop workplans and timelines with support from Gender and Social Inclusion Advisor and Head of Programme Delivery and ensure timely delivery of capacity building activities.

Team and contract management

  • Supervise and manage Aawaz II team of Resource Partner.
  • Manage hiring process and delivery of activities of pool of consultants and vendors.
  • Work closely with the Finance Team for financial forecasts and comparison of actual and forecasted expenses, as needed.

Quality Assurance

  • Quality Assure all deliverables including quarterly and annual progress reports and other documents before submission to Aawaz II PMU.
  • Lead and quality assure the production of knowledge products on themes and vulnerable groups – Position Papers, Policy Briefs, Factsheets, One-pagers, etc. – to support constant demand for latest information and knowledge to deepen the discussions on thematic areas.
  • Lead the preparation and implementation of the Monitoring and Quality Assurance Plan for capacity building activities in coordination with PMU, PPs and DSPs.

Safeguarding, anti-fraud and risk management

  • Put in place the office and team management processes and ensure compliance with Aawaz II operational and safeguarding guidelines and procedures.
  • Ensure that team members, volunteer and consultants are aware of the safeguarding and anti-fraud policy and reporting mechanisms
  • Assess and identify project and grants risks and provide mitigation strategies where applicable. Escalate risk to the Aawaz II Gender and Social Inclusion Advisor.
  • Comply with the safeguarding and anti-fraud standards in planning, implementation and monitoring of activities and escalate safeguarding related concerns/ issues to the Safeguarding Focal Person Aawaz II PMU.

Other Important Requirements of the Job

  • The position holder is expected to travel occasionally.

Deliver any other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager and PMU
