- Maintain established departmental policies and procedure, objectives, quality assurance program, safety environmental and infection control standards.
- Supervising the work of supervisor and house attendants.
- Ensure cleanliness of the hospital premises through supervisor and house attendant.
- Assign duties of supervisory staff.
- Coordinate with maintenance department for any repair or renovation.
- Frequently takes round of the hospital areas to ensure appropriate cleaning standard is maintained.
- Maintain and manages a smooth flow of supplies with check on consumption and budget.
- Maintain records, reports inventories, statistics and written documents.
- Conduct training program on regular basis with more emphasis on quality and budget.
- Provides, fosters, and educates staff on a safe working environment, including proper storage of chemicals and materials needed for daily room cleaning.
- Supervise and control the re-supplying of linen closets, amenities, chemicals, linens, etc.
- Facilitate communication and cooperation across departments to ensure continuum of care.
- Review work procedures and operational problems in order to determine ways to improve service, performance, and/ or safety.
- Participate in selecting, training, motivating and evaluating personnel, recommend and implement personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharges and disciplinary measures.
- Participate in quality improvement and assurance activities.
