Position Description:

The AFM plays a crucial role within the finance team, contributing significantly to daily operations. This role entails providing support to the FM in diverse tasks associated with financial operations, analysis, reporting, and decision-making.

Key responsibilities:

  •  Assist Head of Finance in Budget planning & forecasting
  • Maintain record of all transactions for project wise periodic donor reports.
  • Perform pre-audit of day-to-day financial operations such as payments, invoicing, and other transactions.
  • Timely recording and review of transaction in Financial Information System.
  • Coordination with tax authorities, auditors, banks and other financial needs as necessary.
  • Track the company's financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement.
  • Seek out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company.
  • Assist in achieving maximum profitability and growth in accordance with organization plans.
  • Preparing monthly/quarterly financial review.
  • Check and submit the accurate payment and receipt vouchers for FM’s review, ensuring alignment with underlying financial records.
  • Post all the approved vouchers into the financial reporting system and ensure that all the financial statements correspond with the underlying record.
  • Assist the FM in timely preparation of company's financial statements, contributing to efficient and accurate reporting.
  • Manage the complete payroll cycle from data collection to payment, with meticulous attention to project- based cost allocation.
  • Oversee the investment process for the employee Provident Fund, ensuring compliance with regulations and maximizing returns within acceptable risk parameters.
  • Handle withholding tax submissions and EOBI payments on time, minimizing risk and penalties.
  • Conduct monthly, bi-annual, and annual project wise budget variance analyses, providing valuable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Prepare and present the monthly management reports and Internal Financial Reports, and present financial dashboard.
  • Take ownership of opening/closing bank accounts and changing signatories, streamlining administrative processes.
  • Provide timely and accurate analyses of budgets, financial reports, and trends, empowering the FM with actionable information

Minimum Requirement

Qualification: Accounting & Finance Graduate (preferably CA or ACCA Background, with experience of article ships)

Experience: Minimum 5 years of working experience (prior experience in the development sector, and project financial reporting is mandatory)

Skills Required:

  • Strong and Advanced MS-Excel, Power BI
  • Hands on experience of using Financial Information Systems (SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Sidat Hyder, etc.)
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Cash-flow management
