Qatar Charity is a Doha-Qatar based International Non-Governmental Organization. Since the inception of QC services in Pakistan early 1992, the organization reflect its greater scope of work to respond to extreme poverty and the Government’s priorities. QC through its field offices enabled itself to strategically address the developmental and humanitarian needs at the very local level. QC is undertaking programmes associated with the socio-economic development of the Country. The projects are categorized under six programme pillars: Youth Leadership & Social Protection, Education, Provision of WASH, Health (with a focus on MNCH), Economic Empowerment & Sustainable Livelihood (EESL) and Disaster Response & Preparedness (DRP), along with its Seasonal Programs like meat distribution, Ramadhan program etc. In Pakistan, Qatar Charity is having its country office in Islamabad and field offices in KPK, Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan, and AJK.

Responsibilities:

MIS Officer will be based in District Naseerabad Baluchistan where donor funded Emergency WASH project shall be implemented. The position holder is required to be mobile as S/he would be required to visit all targeted 03 districts within Baluchistan regularly. This position reports to the project manager (based in Naseerabad). 

This position is expected to support the project manager in project management, work with field engineers for community support and lead the social mobilization unit for project planning and implementations with support from Qatar Charity’s (QC) Country Office in Islamabad. She/he will be working in close coordination with different sections in-country office. The position is required to implement to ensure that all project interventions are relevant, efficient and meet desired goal and objectives.

As part of the Program Unit and under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, the incumbent of the post will have the following responsibilities:

• To supervise & lead social mobilization activities in targeted districts.
• Support the Social Mobilization team in developing a detailed implementation plan for social mobilization activities of the project.
• She/he is responsible to ensure WASH related project targets are met as per the project agreement by leading the social mobilization team.
• Close Coordination with another project team for timely implementation of project interventions while adhering to QC’s Social Mobilization Strategy.
• To initiate actions, access and identify the needs and assist in promoting the Behaviour Change Communication Campaign (BCC Campaign).
• To ensure the CIG (community investment grants) utilization, provision of sanitation materials, among the ultra-poors and full-fill the relevant documentation.
• MIS Officer will be responsible for planning, development and implementation of hardware, software-related data generation and its entry into database.
• To enhance community participation in general body meetings including women children, the disabled and the poorest of the poor.
• The institutional building at grass root level (trainings/ capacity building)
• Assist the field engineer team in community infrastructure development, or wherever required or requested.
• Support in the development of monthly and final reports
• Develop linkages with both Government line departments, NGOs and private sector organizations to ensure that technical assistance to be provided by the line departments and private sector organizations reaches most relevant communities.
• Develop, compile and regularly update the social mobilization information from all the targeted districts to the project manager and M&E person.
• Submit weekly & monthly reports to the project manager
