A Mortgage Processing Officer will play a key role in the loan approval process by reviewing, verifying, and organizing financial documents to ensure mortgage applications meet lender requirements. He will act as a bridge between borrowers, and banks to facilitate smooth and timely loan processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess mortgage applications for accuracy and completeness.
- Gather and validate financial documents such as income statements, tax returns, and credit reports.
- Analyze credit history, debt-to-income ratio, and financial stability.
- Ensure mortgage applications meet lending and regulatory guidelines.
- Work closely with loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers to resolve application issues.
- Organize and submit complete loan packages for underwriting approval.
- Keep borrowers informed about application status and additional requirements
