The Programme Assistant (Monitoring Evaluation & Learning) will be part of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning team, supporting the implementation of the overall MEAL activities. He/She will assist the Monitoring Evaluation & Learning in data collection, beneficiary verification, data encoding, data management, analysis and final reporting.
The MEAL Assistant will support all efforts to promote a high level of beneficiary and organizational accountability. The Programme Assistant (MEAL) will work closely with the supervisor to support the MEAL Unit and Programme team to ensure learning and accountability systems are working effectively in implementing the PAPK Programmes.
The assistant will ensure data is stored appropriately in a central location accessible to the programme and MEAL officer.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Programme Assistant (Monitoring Evaluation & Learning) shall perform the duties and responsibilities assigned, including but not restricted to the following:
1. Manage and suggest improvements in available MEAL databases, generate dash boards, qualitative and quantitative reports
2. Analyze data and produce high-quality reports that highlight key findings, trends, and recommendations for program improvement
3. Ensure that evaluation findings and lessons learned are utilized to inform adaptive management and decision-making
4. Conduct field visits for data validation and to monitor the quality and completeness of data sets and implementation.
5. Coordinate data collection at project sites to monitor program development and ensure timely compilation and reporting of data
6. Support the MEAL officer to maintain existing indicator tracking tools; develop additional databases and tracking tools as needed to demonstrate the effectiveness of project interventions
7. Generate indicator reports for tracking progress against key indicators as needed
8. Collect and review documents case studies, lessons learned, best practices and conduct beneficiary tracking
9. Record lessons learnt and achievements in the field for better programmatic design and decision-making
10. Able to travel in the field, especially to remote locations in a challenging environment;
11. In case of emergency, the staff may be deployed to emergency hit areas anywhere across the country;
12. Any other tasks related to the field of engagement, experience and expertise as and when required by the organization and assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or relevant discipline.
Diploma in IT, and expertise in Graphic Designing will be a value addition
Minimum Experience:
Preferably 02 to 04 years in a relevant field
Required Skills:
1. Good analytical and report writing Skill
2. Microsoft Office Proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
3. Expertise of data management software will be an added advantage
4. Basic skills in data collection, management and/or analysis.
5. Self-motivation and ability to work on multiple tasks.
6. Strong team spirit with practical interpersonal and communication skills.
