We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior IT Officer to join our dynamic team. As a senior IT officer, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's computer systems, networks, and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a proactive approach to IT support.

Responsibilities:

End-User Support:

  • Provide technical assistance and support to end-users for hardware, software, network, and other IT-related issues.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, or in person, diagnosing and resolving technical problems promptly.

Hardware and Software Management:

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
  • Perform regular updates and patches to ensure systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Manage hardware inventory and software, keeping track of assets to ensure compliance.

Network Support:

  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problems, collaborating with network administrators when necessary.

Data Security and Backup:

  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems, data, and network integrity.
  • Participate in the development and execution of data backup and recovery procedures to safeguard organizational data.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to identify and resolve IT-related issues.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring a clear understanding of IT-related matters.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS) and productivity software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
