1.      Design and Implement Social Protection Mechanisms

               Develop and implement context-specific social protection mechanisms that address vulnerabilities caused by climate change and emergencies, focusing on adaptive social safety nets, cash transfers, and other forms of livelihood support for vulnerable groups (e.g., women-headed households, PWDs, elderly, and marginalized communities).

2.      Identify and Target Vulnerable Populations

               Lead community-based vulnerability assessments to identify households and individuals most at risk from climate impacts, ensuring that social protection interventions are well-targeted, inclusive, and gender-sensitive.

3.      Strengthen Linkages with Existing Social Protection Programs

               Coordinate with government agencies, NGOs, and other partners to integrate BRAVE project interventions with existing national or regional social protection programs, ensuring seamless support for vulnerable populations during and after climate-related shocks.

4.      Promote Climate-Resilient Livelihoods and Social Safety Nets

               Develop and promote climate-resilient livelihood strategies (e.g., climate-smart agriculture, vocational training, microfinance) that build the adaptive capacity of vulnerable communities and provide sustainable social safety nets.

5.      Ensure Conflict-Sensitive Social Protection Approaches

               Ensure that all social protection interventions are designed and implemented in a conflict-sensitive manner, promoting equitable access to benefits and minimizing the potential for resource-related tensions within and between communities.

6.      Capacity Building for Social Protection Systems

               Provide technical assistance and capacity-building to local community institutions and government agencies on the design, management, and delivery of social protection schemes that enhance resilience to climate-related risks.
