We are seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer who will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Windows-based systems, Microsoft Exchange Server, Office365, and Lync/Skype for Business. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills and a thorough knowledge of system administration and architecture.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Administration: Manage and maintain Windows-based systems ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Microsoft Exchange Server: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange Server environments.
- Office365 Management: Administer and support Office365 environments, including user management, security settings, and system configurations.
- Lync/Skype for Business: Manage and troubleshoot Lync/Skype for Business environments, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability of systems.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure systems are secure and compliant with organizational policies and industry standards.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement and manage backup and recovery procedures to protect organizational data.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to ensure seamless integration and operation of IT systems.
- User Support: Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other IT staff.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of post-qualification experience in system administration.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in managing Windows-based systems.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Exchange Server, Office365, and Lync/Skype for Business.
- Knowledge of system architecture and administration best practices.
- Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting system performance issues.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures.
- Understanding of security and compliance requirements.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
