We are seeking a proficient Associate Project Manager with a minimum of 2 years of experience in agile project management and strong expertise in JIRA administration. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing projects efficiently, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and configuring JIRA to meet project needs. Certification in JIRA administration is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage agile projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.
  • Proactively address stakeholder concerns and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Review and analyze PMO documentation, including policies, procedures, templates, and project management methodologies.
  • Identify areas for improvement in efficiency, standardization, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Assess the PMO's contribution to project success rates and overall project portfolio management.

JIRA Administration:

  • Configure and customize JIRA workflows, screens, fields, and reports to meet project requirements.
  • Administer JIRA projects, user permissions, and roles, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members on JIRA usage and best practices.
  • Stay updated on new JIRA features and functionalities, implementing relevant updates to enhance project management efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in agile project management, preferably in a software development environment.
  • Proven experience in JIRA administration, including configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
  • Certification in JIRA administration (e.g., Atlassian Certified JIRA Administrator) is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with other project management tools and software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes is a plus.
