We are looking for a talented and professional video editor and videographer to join our team at Monks Media. You will be responsible for visualizing voiceover for youtube channels. You will be expected to bring the latest video editing trends, techniques, and innovative solutions for the enhancement of overall visual quality, in compliance with voiceover guidelines established by our international clients.
For this role, you need to understand the voiceover and find out the visual material from internet, and sketch out their needs to attract target audiences. We would like to meet if you can use your creative skills to turn ideas and storyboards into engaging videos.
Editing Responsibilities:
- Organize, review, trim, and assemble footage systematically to allow the production lead to review edits.
- Manipulate and edit video pieces in a way that engages the target audience.
- Balance and treat commentary sound to standard levels.
- Add value to the video by incorporating graphics, sound, and visual effects.
- Perform color correction & grading of video clips to enhance the visual outlook.
- Leverage project management skills to handle multiple projects running simultaneously.
- Continuously discover and implement new/evolving editing technologies and best industry practices to maximize efficiency.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Proven work experience as a video editor.
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Adopt Pack includes; Premiere, After Effects, and other related tools like Final Cut, Tools for Animations, or Sound editing).
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
- Familiarity with special effects, 2D/3D and compositing.
- Creative ability to tell storytelling.
- Understanding of the effects of color, lighting angles and perspective depth.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Physically fit and able to work and concentrate for long periods.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- Bachelor's degree in media production, media studies, performing arts, or photography/film/television.
- At least 1-3 years of experience in a similar role preferably at a media organization.
