We are seeking a Chinese Interpreter with strong Purchasing Management skills to join our team full-time. This role requires fluency in Mandarin and English/Urdu, and expertise in managing purchases and supply chains. The position will be based in Pakistan initially, with migration to our office in China. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating communication and managing procurement processes between our Pakistani and Chinese teams. All visa expenses and relocation support will be provided by the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate interpretation (verbal and written) from Chinese to English/Urdu and vice versa during meetings, negotiations, and conferences.
  • Translate business documents, contracts, emails, and presentations as required.
  • Manage the purchasing and supply chain process, including sourcing products from Chinese suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery of goods.
  • Prepare and analyze purchase orders, quotations, and contracts in both Chinese and English.
  • Liaise between the Pakistani and Chinese teams, clients, and suppliers to ensure smooth communication and successful procurement operations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors in China and ensure compliance with procurement standards.
  • Assist with daily communication, including phone/video conferences, emails, and documentation.
  • Support the Pakistani team in the relocation process and assist in transitioning operations to the Chinese office.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field (preferred but not required if experienced).
  • Proven experience as a Chinese interpreter and purchasing manager in a professional setting.
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English/Urdu is essential (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and vendor negotiations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness to relocate to China after an initial period in Pakistan.
  • Experience in business, manufacturing, or a related industry is a plus.
