Longtreprenuer is in search of a payroll specialist to join our dynamic team, where teamwork is a key value. As a payroll specialist, you will be at the forefront of our operations, responsible for processing employee payments and ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and legislative compliance. Your role will be integral to our success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end US payroll operations for a large number of salaried and hourly employees across all provinces in Canada.
- Prepare all required internal and external reports, as well as month-end reports.
- Calculate retroactive pay, various bonuses, and other compensation elements as required.
- Optimize the efficiency of payroll processes.
- Monitor and control compliance with various laws, collective agreements, and administrative directives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of the complete payroll cycle
- Good knowledge of US state and federal legislation
- Experience with collective agreements
- Bilingual (French and English) is a must
- Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now is a strong asset
- PLP designation is an asset
- Intermediate to advanced level in MS Excel
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
