The Learning / Development Audit Specialist is responsible for conducting comprehensive audits of learning and development programs within the organization. They will assess the effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance of training initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals and industry standards. Additionally, they will identify areas for improvement and recommend strategies to enhance the overall effectiveness of learning and development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops, updates, and implements training materials and programs to include customer service, food safety/sanitation, and physical safety.
  • Conduct research to identify external training programs and analyze business fit.
  • Ensures the maintenance of training records and reports on individual and group progress.
  • Work closely with all management and employees in developing and implementing training and development programs.
  • Review individual and organizational development needs.
  • Organize workshops and other trainings.
  • Collaborate with managers to develop their team members through career pathing
  • Organize hiring and training activities.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training content, delivery methods, and learning outcomes in meeting organizational objectives
  • Review training materials, procedures, and documentation to identify any non-compliance issues and areas of risk.
  • Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data related to training effectiveness, participant feedback, and performance outcomes.
  • Interpret audit findings to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports summarizing findings, observations, and recommendations for management review.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Education, Business Administration, HR, Audit, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of prior experience.
  • Proven experience in conducting audits or evaluations of learning and development programs.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and training evaluation methodologies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and industry best practices related to learning and development.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Certification in auditing, training evaluation, or related fields is desirable.
