Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant with ACCA or CA qualifications to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience in managing financial operations. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Timing: 7pm to 4am - Sunday Off

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns (corporate, VAT/GST, etc.) in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, ensuring timely and accurate filing.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitor actual results against budgets, and provide variance analysis reports.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payment of invoices and collection of receivables.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, including trend analysis, ratio analysis, and variance analysis, to support decision-making processes.
Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow, including forecasting and liquidity planning.
Internal Controls: Develop and implement effective financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and standards (IFRS/GAAP) and ensure company compliance.
Collaborative Support: Work closely with other departments, providing financial insights and support to optimize business operations.

Qualifications:

ACCA or CA qualification is mandatory.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance (experience in [industry] preferred).
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS, GAAP).
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with financial modeling and data analysis.
Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and tax laws.
Experience with ERP systems.
Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
