KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations. Drive the vehicle carefully on the designated routes (including field trips and field area) in accordance with the schedule assigned by supervisor.
  • Practice defensive driving techniques to ensure IR Staff and guest’s safety and security.
  • Maintain awareness of road conditions, weather, and traffic patterns to choose the best routes.
  • Ensure on time arrive at pickup locations and plan field routes effectively to ensure timely arrival at destinations and leave the field area before sunset.
  • Manage time management effectively to accommodate changes in schedule and last-minute requests.
  • Regularly inspect the vehicle as per checklist to ensure it is clean, well-maintained, and in good working condition.
  • Perform or arrange timely basis of all needful routine maintenance, such as oil changes etc.
  • Address any mechanical issues promptly to prevent disruptions. Daily check and properly clean the vehicle and notify the supervisor in case of vehicle maintenance issues.
  • Provide a high level of IR Staff and official guest’s service, ensuring traveller feel comfortable and respected.
  • Maintain a professional behaviour and appearance at all times.
  • Use GPS and other navigation tools to plan efficient routes to ensure IR staff and personal safety and security during travel.
  • Stay informed about local culture values, traffic conditions, and road closures.
  • Adjust routes as necessary to avoid delays and ensure timely arrivals.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding the IR Staff and official guest’s identity, conversations, and destinations.
  • Exercise discretion in all interactions with IR Staff and official guests.
  • Keep clear and open communication with IR staff and official guests regarding schedules, routes, and any potential delays.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or issues immediately to line manage to avoid any delay.
  • Keep accurate records of field movements, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.
  • Ensure presence of all necessary documents i.e. Yearly tool taxes payments, and vehicles insurance payments are up to date and comply with legal requirements.
  • Be prepared to handle emergencies, such as medical incidents, vehicle breakdowns, or road accidents.
  • Know the procedures for reporting and managing emergency situations effectively.
  • Continuously improve driving skills and knowledge through training and professional development.
  • Stay updated on fleet management best practices, new technologies, and changes in traffic laws.
  • Follow the logistic manual and admin manual and keeping records including vehicle logs, vehicle safety, fuel and maintenance.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and sympathy with the organizational values & principles, vision and mission as well as commitment to its PSEAH (preventing sexual exploitation abuse and harassment) protocols. IR has a zero-tolerance policy towards PSEAH and don’t support any action that promotes or encourages PSEAH.

Qualification:

Middle/Matric with Valid Driving License 

Experience:

 

5 to 6 years of general driving

Language:

Urdu, English and Sindhi

Key Personal Qualities:

  • Can work in Stressed environment.
  • Have time management skills.
  • Have good analytical and trouble shooting skills.
  • Have timely decision making ability.
