Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Conducting Internal Audits:
- Plan, execute, and document internal audits of various departments and processes within the organization, including financial, operational, and compliance audits.
- Assess and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Identify and document significant risks and control deficiencies.
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports that clearly and concisely communicate audit findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Follow up on audit findings and monitor the implementation of corrective action plans.
Risk Management:
- Assist in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of organizational risks.
- Develop and maintain risk registers and other risk-related documentation.
- Monitor and report on key risk indicators.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs.
- Conduct compliance reviews and investigations as needed.
Fraud Prevention and Detection:
- Develop and implement fraud prevention and detection controls.
- Investigate suspected cases of fraud and misconduct.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and other relevant authorities as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains.
- Promote a culture of ethical behavior and accountability within the organization.
Reporting:
- Prepare and present regular reports to management on audit findings, risk assessments, and compliance issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date audit documentation and records.
