Under the overall guidance of the Senior CDC IGH Advisor and direct supervision of Advanced Analytics Team Lead, the incumbent shall be part of the Advanced Analytics team in the EOC. He/she is expected to perform following key duties at the National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) for the Polio Eradication Initiative:

Position description:
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be part of ME&A task team (or similar) within NEOC, work closely with government of Pakistan and all GPEI partnes and will be accountable for the accomplishment of the agreed upon key end-results by providing professional expertise and assistance in routine information/data collection, statistics and data analyses, interpretation, monitoring & evaluation (M&E), development of nationa and provincial ME&A improvement plans, preparation of reports, communication and , and in implementing training programmes for national and sub-national data collection, monitoring, evaluation and research capacity building with special attention to the interest, concern and participation of primary stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare a detailed plan for continuous monitoring, evaluation and action (ME&A) of routine immunization and polio eradication campaign activities and orient key stakeholders on this plan to provide strategic priority and realistic activities for M&E.
2. Design and update ME&A tools to ensure consistent and accurate monitoring data Implement protocols for data integrity and completeness, conducting regular assessments and audits to maintain high-quality data. Track the implementation of monitoring activities to ensure they adhere to planned schedules and objectives.
3. Create and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of ME&A activities, identifying areas for improvement. Conduct field visits to verify activity implementation, providing on-site support and supervision to ensure proper execution of planned interventions.
4. Conduct monitoring and measure changes in program implementation with the participation of relevant partners.
5. Provide routine briefings on ME&E statistics to GPEI program and national partners to facilitate national planning, and assess the impact of the polio program and policies, and report on the progress being made.
6.Use advanced analytics to communicate monitoring findings clearly and effectively to NEOC core team. Further use findings to guide strategic planning and decision-making.
7. Routinely monitor data for key indicators of the NEAP and other key action plans.
8. Lead capacity building sessions of national, provincial and district staff to strengthen capacity to collect and report ME&A data in an efficient and effective manner.
9. Take an active part in pre, intra and post campaign monitoring phases and to support different activities with an aim of ensuring that the desired highest quality of the SIAs campaign is achieved.
10. Support NEOC ME&A, data, dashboard and Advanced Analytics team as required.
11. Support research, assessment and evaluation managed by the Advanced Analytics team in Islamabad.
12. Support field monitoring including pre-, intra- and post-campaign.
13. Attend routine bi-weekly meetings with the Advanced Analytics Team members and IGH/CDC leadership.
14. Take on other duties as assigned by CDC/IGH Senior Advisor and Advanced Analytics Team Lead.
