We’re seeking an experienced Software Development Project Manager with a strong technical foundation and proven expertise in driving projects to completion, especially those that may have previously faced challenges. In this role, you’ll plan, execute, and oversee software projects from start to finish, defining project scope, creating schedules, optimizing resources, and ensuring alignment across departments. You’ll play a crucial role in guiding our team through the completion of an MVP and into the final development phase, readying the product for real-world application.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Requirement Gathering: Collaborate with various departments to understand company requirements, define project scope, create detailed schedules, and set milestones. Assess current project health and proactively develop turnaround strategies as needed.
Task Assignment and Resource Optimization: Efficiently assign tasks and allocate resources to team members, optimizing productivity to meet timelines and maintain momentum. Implement corrective actions to overcome delays and drive project recovery when necessary.
System Familiarity & Technical Oversight: Quickly familiarize yourself with the core technologies and frameworks behind our system (e.g., NextJs and NestJs), to ensure informed decision-making and facilitate meaningful technical discussions.
Visual Reporting: Maintain transparency through dashboards and Gantt charts, informing stakeholders of project progress and status.
Clear, Cross-Functional Communication: Act as the main point of contact between departments (development, QA, design), ensuring alignment on project goals and technical requirements.
Proactive Risk Management: Anticipate project risks, assess potential impacts on budget and timeline, and develop contingency plans. Mitigate risks early to keep the project on track and within budget.
Stakeholder Engagement: Foster consistent and clear communication with management and team members, ensuring everyone remains aligned on project objectives and timelines.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in software project management with expertise in Agile, Waterfall, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Technical Understanding: Familiarity with core technologies such as NextJs and NestJs, version control systems like Git, and development environments is a strong plus. A background in software development or a related technical field is a strong plus.
Turnaround and Crisis Management Experience: Demonstrated experience in identifying and addressing project delays, establishing corrective action plans, and recovering off-track projects.
Skills: Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Jira) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Drive). Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
Preferred: PMP, Scrum Master, or Agile certification; experience with distributed teams is a plus.
