Website Developer

We are looking for an experienced Website Developer proficient in HTML, CSS, and PHP to join our team. The main responsibility of this role is to edit and restore websites archived from the Wayback Machine. You will be working with snapshots of websites to recreate, modify, and optimize them for modern standards.

This position requires strong attention to detail, a thorough understanding of website structure, and the ability to work independently on projects. You will collaborate with our team to ensure websites are accurately restored, functional, and up to date with current web standards.

Responsibilities:

Analyze and review archived website snapshots from the Wayback Machine.
Recreate and restore website functionality using HTML, CSS, and PHP.
Ensure compatibility with modern browsers and mobile devices.
Fix broken links, missing assets, and outdated elements.
Update content as needed, while maintaining the integrity of the original website.
Implement SEO best practices to optimize website performance.
Collaborate with the design and content teams to ensure project goals are met.
Perform testing and debugging to ensure a smooth user experience.
Document and maintain a detailed log of website changes and updates.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Website Developer with a strong portfolio of work.
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and PHP.
Experience working with archived websites, especially from the Wayback Machine, is a plus.
Strong understanding of web design principles and user experience (UX).
Familiarity with website optimization techniques (SEO, speed optimization, etc.).
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills for team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with JavaScript or other web programming languages.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
Basic understanding of web hosting and server management.
