Main function of the job:
- Processing timely/accurate payroll for approx. 1000 plus employees
- Timely collection of payroll submissions from Team Managers on a monthly/4 weekly basis
- Other ad hoc duties that may be reasonably required.
Main duties:
- Collection of monthly/4 weekly payroll submission from various sites
- Processing monthly/4 weekly payroll for approx. 1100 employees
- Running payrolls within the Payroll Team for multi-site/company group
- Maintain systems, processes and controls within payroll to comply with GDPR regulations
- Gross to Net pay calculations including Pension, SSP, SMP, SPP, Student Loans etc.
- Submission to HMRC for statutory e-submissions and filing
- Processing of expense claims
- Liaise with HMRC, software and pension providers, when necessary to resolve issues.
- Submission of Year-End processes such as P60’s
- Communicate and liaise with Team Managers and employees to resolve payroll queries
- Month end reports
System Skills/ Required Experience:
- Microsoft Excel skills including VLOOKUP’s, pivot tables, etc.
- Strong IT/system skills
- Experience of Sage 50 Payroll
- Experience of Webroster preferential.
- Basic knowledge of payroll legislation and employee entitlements
People Skills:
- Develop effective working relationships with Operational staff, and as a real team player, you will be able to collaborate with colleagues in the wider business.
