Position:         Field Finance Officer

Location:        Quetta Baluchistan

Reports to:     OIC Field/ Sr. Finance Officer

Summary:

The Finance Officer is responsible for accounting and documenting all financial transactions for the project including ensuring that all Org accounting procedures are followed; budgets are adhered to as well as investigated possible cases of fraud.

Responsibilities:

1)         Prepare issues and sends out receipts, bills, policies, invoices, and statements as required.

2)         Prepare request for funds each month through close coordination with program and support staff.

3)         Checking of payroll and ensure its effective and accurate distribution to all staff monthly bases.

4)         Controlling the expenses in light of the approved budget by the donors

5)        Maintain manually working cash advance register as well as petty cash book.

6)         Ensure all backup documentation is properly organized and filed for complete transparency and audit purposes.

7)         Prepare financial forecast in order to clarify the financial standing of individual projects and the entire country program.

8)         Ensure all program and project staff are implementing Org field accounting policies accurately

9)         Checking and verification of all payment documents as per the Org policies and initiating payments.

10)       Assisting Sr. Finance officer/Manager in Preparation of monthly BvA’s

11)       Assisting in Preparation of banks reconciliation and other financial reports.

12)       Scanning & uploading of all financial record on monthly bases.

13)       Knowledge of accounting software’s are beneficial.

14)       Knowledge of withholding Tax deductions and process of submitting withholding tax statements.   

14)       Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting & Finance with a minimum of 3 Years of relevant experience, certifications (CA, ACCA, ICMA) partial or completed will be preferred. 
  • Computer literate, including word-processing, database and/or use of spreadsheet formulas and basic functions.
  • Ability to understand and implement the government tax laws.
  • Ability to use any accounting software
  • Ability to meet the deadlines
  • Ability to respond to a variety of questions relating to the job.
  • Manages own time under guidance and direction from superiors.
  • Spots errors and mistakes in own work.
  • Adaptable and Flexible.
