Major accountabilities:
- Lead product development across the entire textile value chain, from spun yarn to final stitching, ensuring innovation, market alignment, and collaboration with all departments.
- Drive research and development projects, experiment with technical fibers, and implement sustainability initiatives to enhance product quality, efficiency, and eco-friendliness.
- Manage vendor performance for outsourced weaving and dyeing, establish quality control protocols, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Prepare detailed reports, maintain project documentation, and contribute to strategic planning while training and developing the team for continuous improvement.
Criteria
- 15 years plus experience in textiles with at least 5 years working as head of Product development Department in a textiles’ unit.Educational background.
- B.Sc. Textile Engineering or Textile Technologist from an HEC-recognized institute with specialization in Spinning or Knitting. Computer Literacy.
- Advance Excel supremacy.
- Ability to work with simulated reports and datasheets.
- Ability to work with Internal software/ERP.
General Communication skills.
- Ability to absorb technical knowledge while being a good listener.
- Ability to write/answer professional dossier and emails.
