Key Responsibilities:
- Load Planning & Coordination: Plan and dispatch full truckload shipments according to client requirements and load specifications, ensuring efficient and cost-effective routing.
- Driver Management: Coordinate with drivers, provide load details, track load progress, and ensure on-time pick-up and delivery.
- Client Communication: Maintain clear communication with clients regarding shipment status, handling any issues or inquiries promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Route Optimization: Use dispatching software and tools to optimize routes for efficiency, reducing operational costs and delivery times.
- Problem Resolution: Address any issues that arise during transportation, including delays, mechanical problems, or route changes, and provide real-time solutions to minimize disruptions.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and maintain necessary dispatch records, including shipment details, driver logs, and incident reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the operations, safety, and accounting teams to coordinate and align on schedules, payments, and compliance requirements.
- Tracking & Reporting: Monitor shipments and update internal systems, keeping records of all activities and reporting any discrepancies or issues to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in dispatch or logistics coordination, preferably in FTL operations.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective client and driver interactions.
Shift: Night shift
- ( 6:00 PM -3:00 AM) in Winters
- (5:00 PM - 2:00 AM) in Summers
