We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting our dental professionals during patient procedures and providing exceptional care to our patients. Responsibilities:
- Assist dentists and hygienists during dental procedures, including but not limited to, fillings, extractions, root canals, and cleanings.
- Prepare treatment rooms for procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are sterilized and readily available.
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist, ensuring high-quality images and patient safety.
- Educate patients on proper dental hygiene techniques, post-operative care instructions, and treatment plans as prescribed by the dentist.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including updating medical histories and treatment notes in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Perform dental laboratory tasks such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and preparing impression materials.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to infection control guidelines and clinic protocols.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and processing payments as needed.
- Collaborate with other members of the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent patient care.
