Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Accountant to join our restaurant's finance team in Jhelum. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management, along with a passion for the culinary industry. As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and contributing to the overall financial health of our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure the restaurant's financial stability.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support effective financial planning.
  • Collaborate with the management team to analyze financial performance and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax requirements.
  • Process payroll and maintain employee records related to compensation and benefits.
  • Monitor inventory levels and contribute to cost control initiatives.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end financial reports and statements for auditing purposes.
  • Work with external auditors as needed during the audit process.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance department.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of prior experience in accounting, preferably within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and standards.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
