The Export Manager will oversee and drive the international sales and export strategies of the company cookware and kitchen accessories products. This role involves identifying new market opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with international clients, and ensuring compliance with global trade regulations. The Export Manager will collaborate with various departments to ensure the efficient execution of export operations, achieving both revenue and growth targets in international markets.

Key Responsibilities:

International Sales & Business Development:

  • Develop and implement export sales strategies to penetrate new markets.
  • Identify potential distributors, retailers, and partners in international markets for cookware and kitchen accessories.
  • Conduct market research to understand global consumer trends, competitor activities, and local market conditions.
  • Prepare and present proposals and quotations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of sales agreements with international partners.

Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and business partners.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all export-related inquiries, resolving issues promptly and maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination between international clients and internal departments (production, finance, logistics).

Logistics & Documentation:

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of shipments, ensuring timely delivery of products to international customers.
  • Ensure all export documentation, including invoices, shipping documents, and certificates of origin, are prepared accurately and comply with international regulations.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, and other logistics providers to streamline the export process.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay updated on international trade laws, tariffs, and regulations in different regions.
  • Ensure all export activities comply with global trade regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor any changes in export laws and provide recommendations on risk management.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Track sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to assess the success of export strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market expansion, and export operations for senior management.
  • Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for international sales growth.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of export coordinators and support staff.
  • Collaborate with marketing, production, and finance teams to align export activities with company goals.
  • Provide input on product development based on feedback from international markets.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in export management, preferably within the cookware or kitchen accessories industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international trade laws, customs regulations, and global logistics.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple international accounts.
  • Proficiency in export documentation and software tools (e.g., ERP systems, CRM).
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Knowledge of cookware materials, manufacturing processes, and consumer preferences.
  • Experience working with distributors and retailers in different international markets.
  • Ability to identify emerging trends in kitchenware and adapt export strategies accordingly.
