Overview:

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, with proven experience in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing purchasing processes. As a Purchase Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services to support our organization's operations.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Procurement Planning:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Analyze market trends, assess supplier capabilities, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and implement improvement plans as needed.

Negotiation and Contract Management:

  • Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers.
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts to protect the organization's interests.

Vendor Selection and Qualification:

  • Identify and qualify new vendors, assessing their capabilities and reliability.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to evaluate and select suppliers based on performance criteria.

Cost Analysis and Budgeting:

  • Analyze costs, market trends, and budget constraints to optimize procurement decisions.
  • Develop and manage the procurement budget to ensure cost-effective purchasing.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate potential risks related to procurement, including supply chain disruptions and quality issues.
  • Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges.

Compliance and Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of procurement activities.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience as a Purchase Manager or in a similar procurement role.
  3. Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  4. Analytical mindset with the ability to assess market trends and make data-driven decisions.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
