- Examine plans, drawings, specifications, and other documents to make sure they comply with bylaws/standards
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled building inspections.
- Study approved drawings /plans for structural and architectural components to ensure compliance with all applicable codes.
- Effectively communicates findings to homeowners and contractors.
- Report building defects to contractors, designers, and owners.
- Advise applicants on changes to ensure all the requirements are met.
- Keep records of the visits made to the site and write reports.
- Follow up on phone calls and compliance issues.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
