1. Project Planning, Development and Implementation

  • Draft necessary strategic documents concerning project design, planning and implementation, such as results frameworks, work plans, project budgets, action plans, etc. 

  • Implement Project action plans;

  • Undertake day-to-day management of the project, including smooth project implementation, and efficient use of resources;

  • Provide technical and administrative coordination of the Project components 

  • Manage project teams to ensure that projects are implemented on time, within budget, and to the required standard of quality.

  • Develop Terms of Reference and organogram for the project and ensure proper delivery of technical services and submission of technical and other reports;

  • Manage the project budget;

  • Record keeping /Maintain accurate and organized records of all project activities, decisions, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

  • Ensure the timeliness and quality of the outputs as well as timely preparation of reports on achievements and challenges faced within the project;

  • Ensure delivery of resources and results according to planned targets.

  • Ensure that projects are designed with a focus on sustainability and scalability.

2. Stakeholder Engagement, Liaison, and Networking

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government authorities, regulatory bodies, and department representatives.

  • Develop liaison and coordination with relevant actors including government agencies and line departments, ensuring smooth communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Ensure the participation and involvement of relevant stakeholders in project activities, so that the process is inclusive, participatory, and transparent;

  • Ensure the development of cross-project linkages with other relevant projects and programs for mutually reinforcing impact.

  • Support the coordination with relevant Government authorities dealing with human rights and related subjects.

  • Coordinate with relevant actors in the social sector and government departments.

  • Ensure that projects are designed with a focus on sustainability and scalability.

3. Advocacy, Partnerships and Resource Mobilization:

  • Establish and maintain partnerships with stakeholders (UN agencies, NGOs, INGO, Government and Donors)

  • Liaise with government bodies, departments, and partners to secure potential matching funds, grants, or public sector support for crowdfunding efforts

  • Proactively identify new national and international funding opportunities. Prepare and submit compelling proposals to secure financial resources from diverse donors, including  grants, corporate sponsorships, foundations, high-net-worth individuals (HNIs), etc.

  • Support the NGO’s broader resource mobilization efforts by identifying new funding streams, cultivating donor relationships, and assisting in the organization’s fundraising activities.

  • Support the Country Office in the eventual mobilization of resources efforts from different partners to the selected project.

  • Perform other duties related to the project as assigned by management.

  • Provide support to the management on issues delegated to her

4. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting 

  • Establish monitoring systems to track project performance /progress

  • Facilitate regular flow of information and conduct research as required;

  • Prepare regular progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Promote identification and synthesis of best practices and lessons learned for organizational sharing and learning;

  • Document lessons learned and share best practices with other projects and stakeholders.

5. Recruitment, Capacity Building and Technical Assistance:

  • Develop and implement a plan to attract the right talent for the project, Create detailed job descriptions for required positions, and ensure effective onboarding for new hires to integrate them into the project and organization

  • provide technical assistance to project teams to build their capacity in areas such as project management, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, etc

  • Monitoring visits to the field and to provide technical support to field staff.

  • Support the organization of workshops, seminars, and other activities.

6.  Results/Expected Output:

  • Achievement of all project milestones in alignment with stakeholder expectations and regulatory requirements.

  • On-time delivery of project phases and deliverables, contributing to successful project completion.

  • Ensure that all projects deliver measurable results that contribute to the organization's overall impact in the communities it serves.

  • In close coordination with the interested parties ensures the implementation of the Project.

  • Guarantee the proper financial implementation of the Project resources.

6- Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sociology or related field.

  • Proven experience in project management and government liaison, preferably in the NGO sector.

  • Strong background in fundraising, including grant writing, proposal writing,  donor engagement, and organizing fundraising events and other fundraising sources.

  • 3-6 years working experience;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders

  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook)

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines,

  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
