Job Responsibilities:

1. Field Survey and Assessment

  • Conducting Land Surveys: Collecting accurate data on the site's topography and geographic features.
  • Determining Boundaries: Ensuring the accuracy of project boundaries according to approved plans.

2. Preparation of Maps:

  • Creating Detailed Maps: Designing maps that illustrate the locations of works, including drainage channels and levees.
  • Updating Plans: Modifying maps based on field changes or new requirements.

3. Collaboration with the Team

  • Coordinating with Engineers: Working alongside civil and environmental engineers to ensure design and execution alignment.
  • Providing Technical Advice: Offering technical insights regarding field challenges that may affect implementation.

4. Compliance with Standards

  • Ensuring Regulatory Compliance: Making sure all activities adhere to local and international flood management standards.
  • Preparing Documentation: Compiling necessary reports for project handover to the consultant.

5: Conducting Inspections and Monitoring

  • Monitoring Work Progress: Tracking the work's progress on-site and documenting advancements.
  • Conducting Inspections: Ensuring that completed works meet design specifications.

6. Reporting

  • Preparing Periodic Reports: Documenting collected information and data to present to the consultant.
  • Project Handover: Compiling final handover documents and submitting them to the consultant after project completion.

8. Engaging with Stakeholders

  • Interacting with Relevant Parties: Communicating with the local community and governmental bodies to meet project requirements

Requirements:

1-Educational Qualifications

Diploma in Surveying.

2-Experience

  • Relevant Experience: Min 7 years of experience in land surveying, particularly civil engineering projects.
  • Field Experience: Hands-on experience with surveying equipment and techniques.

3-Technical Skills

  • Surveying Tools: Proficiency in using total stations, GPS equipment
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and surveying software
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze and interpret survey data and produce accurate reports.

4-Soft Skills

  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and collaborating with project teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to address unexpected challenges in the field and devise effective solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in measurements and reports.

5-Physical Requirements

  • Field Work: Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and traverse uneven terrain.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physically demanding tasks.
