Videographer and Illustrator for Developing Resources on Positive Parenting Practices
The Aga Khan Foundation (AKF), an agency of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), is a private, non-denominational, international development agency established in 1967. It seeks sustainable solutions to long-term problems of poverty, hunger, illiteracy, and ill health with special emphasis on the needs of rural communities in mountainous and other resource-poor regions, primarily in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Its main areas of focus are education, health, rural development, environment and strengthening civil society.
The Aga Khan Foundation (Pakistan) [AKF (P)] is seeking a high-caliber professional Videographer and an Illustrator to develop short videos and illustrations that showcase parents and caregivers engaging in positive interactions with their children. The goal is to provide accessible, visually appealing resources that can be shared via digital platforms to reach a wider audience. The project aims to promote positive parenting practices among caregivers of young children (ages 0-5) through different channels such as cable, posters, and WhatsApp. Through these channels, messages are disseminated in the form of videos or posters (with illustrations of positive interactions)
1. Background of the Project:
AKDN-Vroom Strategic partnership to improve ECD outcomes in Pakistan is a project funded by the Bezos Family Foundation, USA tested in the Ghizer District of Pakistan. The first phase of this project promoted caregivers’ empowerment by providing contextually relevant ECD tips and tools via different accessible modalities. These resources supported caregivers to create enjoyable everyday moments for their children to grow, develop, and learn, from birth to five years. The key outcome of the project is improved caregiver practices that support positive early childhood development in Ghizer District, Pakistan.

a. Storyboarding and planning: 3 days
b. Filming: 7 days
c. Editing and finalization: 5 daysTotal Duration: Approximately 15 days.
Illustrations:
d. Concept sketches: 3 days
e. Illustration development: 10 days
f. Designing Material for Posters & Whatsapp: 5
g. Final revisions and delivery: 5 days total
Duration: Approximately 20 days.
