We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manager of Bookkeeping to lead and oversee our client's financial operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accounting principles, financial forecasting, cash flow management, and compliance. This position involves managing the day-to-day financial functions, supervising staff, ensuring adherence to industry regulations, and providing strategic insights to senior management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate existing financial systems and implement necessary controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare and manage financial forecasts, annual budgets, and perform variance analysis to identify significant deviations from budgeted values.
- Prepare cashflow forecasts and oversee the effective management of working capital.
- Monitor daily financial operations, including payroll and bookkeeping, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and submit VAT filings in a timely manner.
- Oversee the financial department, managing accountants and financial assistants, ensuring high performance and compliance with company standards.
- Contract and liaise with external services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs.
- Track the company’s financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and risk minimization.
- Conduct market trend analysis, research financial reports, and develop strategies for growth and risk management.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the board, stakeholders, and executives.
- Stay up-to-date with applicable financial reporting standards, tax rates, regulations, and assess their impact on overall financial performance.
- Stay informed about the latest accounting software and technology to improve financial processes and maximize efficiency.
- Establish and maintain financial policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry standards.
- Ensure adherence to all relevant industry regulations and legislation.
- Generate monthly invoices for services rendered to clients.
- Conduct periodic reviews of financial work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA) highly desirable.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and financial management.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, VAT submissions, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide accurate financial insights.
