We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, with their primary focus on developing user interface components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows. You will be responsible for ensuring that these components, and the overall application, are robust and easy to maintain. You are someone who loves to build front-end interfaces from provided designs, and you can do it in a well-structured and responsive manner for the SchemeServe platform. This will primarily be using React, however, may also include other front-end work from time to time. You’ll be working alongside back-end developers and User Experience Designers, so this requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

Developing new and existing features to enhance the user experience using primarily React.js (Version 12)
Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
Translating designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
Maximise pages for speed and scalability.
Accurately translate user and business needs into functional frontend code.
Liaising with internal & external stakeholders through the life cycle of each project.
Maintaining brand consistency throughout the implementation of designs.

Requirements:

4+ years experience in front-end development.
3+ years experience using React.
2+ years experience using Next.js
Strong portfolio to be presented and defended during the interview.
Understanding of key design principles.
Proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript.
Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
Good problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Experience working in an agile development process.
Be open to feedback/constructive criticism and happy working together to improve.
