As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services required for our construction projects. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, such as project managers, engineers, and finance team, to identify procurement needs, develop sourcing strategies, and establish supplier relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes within the organization.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other departments to identify procurement needs for ongoing and upcoming construction projects.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and monitor compliance with contractual agreements, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement measures to optimize procurement processes, including bulk purchasing, supplier consolidation, and strategic sourcing.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, contracts, and vendor information.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement activities, such as bidding processes, supplier diversity, and ethical sourcing.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including conducting regular performance reviews, addressing issues, and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and cost savings.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities related to procurement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or a similar role in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and strategies, with a focus on construction materials and equipment.
  • Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and systems.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in managing procurement documentation.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
