The Control Room Operator is responsible for monitoring and managing security systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, and access control systems. This role involves coordinating with security personnel, responding to incidents, and ensuring the safety and security of the premises under surveillance. The Control Room Operator must be vigilant, detail-oriented, and able to handle emergency situations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor Surveillance Systems: Continuously monitor CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems to detect and respond to suspicious activities or security breaches.
Incident Response: Respond promptly to alarms and other signals, assess the situation, and take appropriate action, including contacting emergency services, security personnel, or law enforcement as needed.
Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with on-site security teams, management, and external agencies during incidents. Relay important information in a timely manner.
Record Keeping: Accurately document incidents, daily activities, and other relevant information in logs and reports. Ensure all records are maintained in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
System Management: Operate and troubleshoot security systems, ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly. Report any technical issues to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
Access Control: Monitor and manage access to the premises, ensuring only authorized personnel are granted entry. Verify the identity of individuals attempting to enter restricted areas.
Emergency Procedures: Follow established protocols during emergencies, including evacuation procedures, lockdowns, and coordinating with first responders.
Compliance: Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with company policies, industry standards, and legal regulations related to security and surveillance.
Training: Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on the latest security protocols, system updates, and emergency procedures.
Experience: Previous experience in a control room environment, security operations, or a similar role is preferred.
Skills:
Availability: Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
