Restaurant Manager

Here's what you’ll do:

Craft Epic Customer Experiences: We take delicious food and turn it into unforgettable memories. You'll be the ace, ensuring every guest has a 5-star night.
Become a Rockstar Recruiter & Trainer: We're all about building a killer crew. You'll guide our service stars from newbies to serving legends!
Be the Inventory Lead: You'll be keeping Umai well stocked to match the customers' appetite. Waste not, want not – that's your motto.
Bridge between the Kitchen & Floor: Help connect people of the kitchen and front-of-house in perfect harmony for a smooth operation.
Be the money minder: Working with our accountant, you'll be the cash-flow custodian, keeping an eye on those daily sales figures.
Safety First, Fun Always: Keeping our crew and guests safe is priority number one. You'll be our health and safety champion!
Scheduling Ninja: Mastering the art of the schedule is your superpower! You'll keep our team happy and the restaurant running like a well-oiled machine.

Who are we looking for?

A food business pro with 4+ years of experience charming customers (think Customer Service Manager).
Someone who looks sharp and has a personality to match (think confident, personable, and passionate!).
A rockstar who can thrive under pressure and always serve up a smile (think unflappable and amazing!).
A scheduling whiz with ninja-like flexibility (think evenings, weekends, and holidays – the fun kind!).
Someone who speaks English like a boss and can conquer spreadsheets with Excel and Word (think basic tech skills). Bonus points for restaurant knowledge and safety regulation know-how!
Someone who can understand basic accounting principles and maybe even wrangle a POS system (think bonus points!).

Umai (うまい, 上手い) is Japanese for delicious which is a simple mantra behind the restaurant project. Umai Pan-Asian is being positioned as a clutter breaker across the restaurant scene in Islamabad. It is authentic pan-asian cuisine prepared carefully to suit the palates of local and expatriate communities in Pakistan that value the consistent flavours of the Orient. We are driven by a deep desire to raise the bar on not just the food but the experience of dining. We want to emphasize the pan-asian food’s range as well as the protocols and etiquette that make the experience so delightful. We aim to arrest the growing trends of Pan-Asian food, more precisely – Japanese and Korean among young adults while also catering to the palate of the veteran audiences with mature preferences.
