The CAD Design Engineer (Solar) is a pivotal role focused on the development of solar and electrical systems for solar companies. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, creative design skills, and effective communication abilities. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in electrical engineering, preferably in solar energy, and a track record of producing detailed, precise solar and electrical designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize CAD software to design and draft detailed solar photovoltaic systems.
Develop full plan sets for solar and electrical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards, local utility and project specifications.
Generate comprehensive Bills of Materials (BOMs) for solar projects.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including design files, technical specifications, and project timelines.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet technical and client requirements.
Effectively communicate design concepts and modifications in both verbal and written English.
Ensure all designs adhere to applicable codes, standards, and best practices.
Continuously update knowledge on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on solar energy or related fields.
Proven experience in designing solar photovoltaic systems using CAD software.
Familiarity with producing and interpreting Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Proficiency in English, with excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
