You will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying and pursuing sales opportunities for solar energy systems. You will collaborate closely with customers, architects, engineers, and project managers to design customized solar solutions that meet their energy requirements and financial objectives. Your technical expertise and sales acumen will be essential in showcasing the value proposition of our solar products and services and closing deals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and expand the customer base in the solar energy sector.
  • Identify and qualify leads through prospecting, networking, and relationship building with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct site assessments and energy audits to evaluate the feasibility of solar installations and gather technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and engineer solar energy systems tailored to customer needs, including photovoltaic (PV) arrays, inverters, mounting structures, and balance-of-system components.
  • Prepare and present technical proposals, including system designs, energy production estimates, financial analysis, and return on investment (ROI) calculations, to prospective clients.
  • Lead negotiations, contract discussions, and the preparation of sales agreements, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both the company and the customer.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to customers throughout the sales process, addressing inquiries, resolving technical issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory requirements, and advancements in solar technology to inform sales strategies and product offerings.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote our solar solutions and build relationships within the solar energy community.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project details using CRM software.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in technical sales, preferably in the solar energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including design principles, installation practices, and performance factors.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, understand their needs, and develop tailored solutions.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, solar modeling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
