JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
Record financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, using accounting software or manual methods.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement. This may involve creating financial reports and forecasts.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, and compare actual performance with budgeted figures.
Prepare and file tax returns for individuals or businesses, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Prepare and distribute financial reports to management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as required.
Assist with internal and external audits by providing financial information and supporting documentation.
Calculate and process payroll, including deductions, taxes, and other withholdings.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making within the organization.
Identify and assess financial risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
Oversee the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and systems.
