- The Sr. Manager of Graduate Studies will work as a secretary in all doctoral committee meetings.
- He will ensure the confidentially of the documents and all correspondences with the evaluators and examiners.
- He will Maintain a central repository of the profiles and all other necessary details of all (a) National & International Evaluators, (b) Examiners in pre and final defence, and (c) supervisors.
- He will collect detailed records from all campuses of MS/PhD students once all the students' degree requirements are completed. After verification, he will forward them for the final approval of the VP (Academics).
- He will create an evaluation mechanism for evaluating the performance of Supervisors and evaluators.
- He will prepare the necessary guidelines from time to time for the students, evaluators, and examiners.
- He will develop and revise various proformas for MS/PhD students in consultation with the Deans and Coordinators of Graduate Studies at the Campuses as needed.
- He will oversee and schedule Comprehensive Exams.
- He will maintain quality, ensure mechanisms, and ensure supervisors perform their supervisory duties according to their defined roles.
- He will deal with disciplinary/dispute matters related to supervisors and students enrolled in a thesis/dissertation.
- He will oversee the arrangements for pre- and final defence.
- He will ensure the smooth completion of the thesis/dissertation process from submission to graduation.
- He will guide and assist the supervisor and students in preparing the thesis as per guidelines related to programs.
- He will serve as a point of contact for graduate students enrolled in the program and liaison between the graduate students and faculties/departments/campuses.
- He will communicate relevant matters to the faculties or its committees as needed.
- He will monitor the compliances being carried out by the students.
- He will ensure the thesis/dissertation fulfils the anti-plagiarism requirements as per HEC and SZABIST plagiarism policy.
- He will investigate any concerns likely to affect the progress of the student's research and bring them to the DC.
- He will deal with the supervisors' payment matters with the finance department.
