Network Administrator Associate

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Network Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role is perfect for individuals with 1-2 years of experience in network administration who are eager to grow their skills in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Monitor network performance to ensure smooth and reliable operation for users.
Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues and escalate complex problems to senior administrators as needed.
Perform regular backups, updates, and patches for network devices.
Assist in implementing and enforcing network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and inventory records.
Support end-users with network-related issues and provide technical assistance as required.
Participate in network capacity planning and recommend improvements to optimize performance.
Stay updated with the latest developments in networking technologies and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
1-2 years of hands-on experience in network administration or a similar role.
Basic understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
Experience with network hardware (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, HP) and tools for network monitoring and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with firewall configuration and network security principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Industry certifications like CCNA or Network+ are a plus but not required.
