Senior Elixir Developer

As an Elixir Developer, you will have a critical role in the ongoing development and enhancement of our billing engine. The project utilizes Phoenix LiveView for real-time interactivity, Oban for background processing, and PostgreSQL as our database of choice. You will work closely with the clients’ support team, where you will have significant autonomy to make decisions, implement features, and shape the future of our product.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain our billing engine using Elixir, Phoenix LiveView, and associated technologies.
Implement and manage background job processing using Oban.
Work with PostgreSQL to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
Collaborate with the team to define, design, and ship new features.
Optimize the application for maximum speed and scalability.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality software.
Take ownership of projects, from inception to deployment, with a focus on delivering impactful features.

Qualifications:

Strong experience with Elixir and the Phoenix framework
Proficiency in working with PostgreSQL databases.
Familiarity with Oban or other background job processing tools.
Experience in building and maintaining web applications with a focus on performance and scalability.
Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control (Git), testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to work autonomously, manage time effectively, and take initiative.
Excellent communication skills in both writing and speaking
Proficient in English
