As security guardis responsible of secure the interior and exterior of the premises where they work. They monitor windows, doors and gates to make sure they're locked properly. If an alarm sounds or there's a disturbance. Security maintain activity logs and reports of any damage to equipment to present to their supervisor.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities
- Patrolling the hospital premises and identifying suspicious activity.
- Control and check at all gates.
- Take care and control hospital assets, inventories, medicines and consumables.
- Crowd control and try to minimize the rush at main gates, OPD, Emergency unit, PAEDS and all other wards.
- Ensure that all vehicles park properly at the parking area. Especially the emergency unit area should be clear 24 hours.
- Ensuring that the security arrangements in the hospital like computers, alarm systems and close circuit cameras are functioning properly
- Placing miscreants under citizen’s arrest until he can be handed over to the law enforcement officials
- Interact with hospital staff of all divisions with special emphasis on drug storage areas, infant care units, ward for mentally ill patients and trauma care
- In case of fire or bomb threats, taking charge of evacuating the hospital
- Forming a liaison between the hospital and law enforcement agency.
- Deal with staff and patients appropriately and guide them if require.
